Before your first use, you must unscrew the battery compartment (tail cap or head) and remove the plastic insulation tab blocking the battery terminal. The flashlight will not turn on if this tab is left inside.
Many models, such as the MT70mini-S, utilize a 5-click electronic lock system. Simply press the control switch 5 times rapidly while the light is off to lock it, and repeat the process to unlock it.
High-lumen outputs, especially on Turbo mode, generate significant heat. This is completely normal. The flashlight body and built-in cooling fins are designed to dissipate heat. If it becomes too hot to hold comfortably, lower the brightness level sequentially or turn it off to allow cooling.
Most high-drain MATEMINCO flashlights require unprotected, high-drain Lithium-ion batteries (such as 18650, 21700, or 26650 models). Always refer to your specific instruction manual as mixing battery types or using unsupported batteries can damage the electronics.
