1. Uvod

Thank you for choosing the Elitech MOT-270W Digital Moisture Meter. This device is designed for accurate measurement of moisture content in various materials, primarily wood, as well as concrete, mortar, and brick. Its pin-type design allows for precise readings, while features like a backlit LCD, audible/visual alerts, data hold, and max/min value tracking enhance usability. Please read this manual thoroughly before operation to ensure correct usage and optimal performance.

• The measurement pins are sharp. Handle with care to prevent injury.
• Do not attempt to measure live electrical circuits. This device is not designed for electrical testing.
• Keep the device away from water and high humidity environments to prevent damage, except during intended moisture measurement.

4. Nastavitev

4.1 Namestitev baterije

The Elitech MOT-270W requires one (1) AAA battery (not included) for operation. Follow these steps to install the battery:

1. Poiščite pokrov predalčka za baterije na zadnji strani naprave.
2. Potisnite ali odpnite pokrov, da odprete predal.
3. Vstavite eno baterijo AAA in pazite na pravilno polarnost (+/-), kot je označeno v notranjosti predala.

4.2 Začetni vklop

Ko namestite baterijo, pritisnite Moč button to turn on the device. The LCD display will illuminate, and the meter will perform a brief self-test before entering measurement mode.

5.1 Merjenje

1. Odstranite zaščitni pokrovček z merilnih zatičev.
2. Select the appropriate material mode (see Section 5.2).
3. Firmly press the two measurement pins into the material you wish to test. Ensure both pins penetrate the surface to obtain an accurate reading.

5. For materials where readings might fluctuate quickly, consider using the Data Hold or MAX/MIN functions (see Section 5.3).

5.2 Material Modes (Measurement Gears)

The MOT-270W features multiple measurement modes, sometimes referred to as "gears," to provide accurate readings for different materials. Press the M gumb za preklapljanje med razpoložljivimi načini.

The modes are categorized as follows:

Select the mode that best matches the material you are testing for the most accurate results. If your specific wood type is not listed, choose the grade that corresponds to a similar density or common usage (e.g., Grade 3 is often suitable for many common woods).

5.3 Data Functions

5.3.1 Funkcija zadrževanja podatkov

The Data Hold function allows you to freeze the current measurement on the display, which is useful when taking readings in hard-to-reach areas or when the value is fluctuating.

1. Med merjenjem pritisnite PRIDRŽI button. The current reading will be held on the display.
2. Pritisnite PRIDRŽI button again to release the hold and resume live measurement.

5.3.2 MAX/MIN Value Tracking

This function allows you to track the maximum and minimum moisture content detected during a measurement session.

1. Pritisnite NASTAVI button to activate MAX/MIN mode. The display will show "MAX" or "MIN".
2. As you take measurements, the display will update to show the highest (MAX) or lowest (MIN) value recorded.
3. Pritisnite NASTAVI button again to switch between MAX and MIN display.
4. To exit MAX/MIN mode, press and hold the NASTAVI gumb.

6. Vzdrževanje

• Čiščenje: Napravo obrišite z mehko, suho krpo. Ne uporabljajte abrazivnih čistil ali topil.
• Skrb za sondo: Keep the measurement pins clean and free of debris. Always replace the protective cap when not in use to prevent damage to the pins and accidental injury.
• Shranjevanje: Store the meter in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove the battery if storing for extended periods.
• Zamenjava baterije: Replace the AAA battery when the low battery indicator appears on the display to ensure accurate readings.
