This device is designed to provide real-time rain detection and smart home automation capabilities, integrating seamlessly with Tuya and Smart Life platforms. It helps you monitor weather conditions and prevent potential water damage by triggering automated actions like closing windows or curtains.

The iHseno Tuya Rain Sensor is compatible with Tuya, SmartLife, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa. It requires a 2.4G WiFi connection for the WiFi version.

5.1. Namestitev baterije

The device requires two AAA batteries (not included). To install:

1. Push the back cover upward to open the battery compartment.

5.3. Adding the Device (Wi-Fi Version)

This product is a WiFi version that can be directly connected to a home router (2.4G WiFi required).

1. Ensure your mobile phone is connected to a 2.4G Wi-Fi network and Bluetooth is enabled.
2. Put the rain sensor into distribution network state (usually indicated by a blinking LED).
3. Open the Smart Life / Tuya App and tap "Add Device".
4. The app will discover the device. Click "Add" and wait for the device to be added.
5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the addition, clicking "Next" and "Finish".

5.4. Adding the Device (Zigbee Version)

For the Zigbee version, a Tuya Zigbee gateway is required.

1. Open the Smart Life / Tuya App, click the "+" sign in the upper right corner.
2. Find and access your Zigbee gateway.
3. Add the rain sensor through the gateway. Ensure the gateway, lighting sensor, and your cell phone are connected to the same WiFi network.
4. If prompted, enter your WiFi password and confirm.
5. The interface will show a "being connected" status. Wait for the device to complete network allocation and enter the add device interface.

6.1. Real-time Rain Detection

The sensor provides real-time, intuitive data about rainfall status directly to your smart home system via the app.

When rain is detected, the sensor can send a notification to your phone, reminding you to close windows.

6.2. Automatic Scene Linkage

Leverage the real-time data collected by the rain sensor to create smart automation scenarios:

1. In the app's automation interface, click the "+" sign in the upper right corner to enter the "Intelligent Settings" interface.
2. In the "Intelligent Settings" interface, click the "+" sign on the right side of the condition to enter the "Select Condition" interface.
3. Select the rain sensor as the trigger device.
4. Select the desired execution device and action (e.g., close automatic windows, close curtains, or activate a garden irrigation timer).
5. Set the automation name and effective time.

The sensor supports multi-device connection for smart home automation, such as controlling windows or curtains.

6.3. Flood Alerts

The sensor can also detect flooding, providing timely alerts:

• If the room is flooded, the sensor can link with a smart voice speaker to play voice reminders.
• Your mobile phone will simultaneously receive remote notifications of flooding, allowing you to address the issue promptly.

The sensor can alert you to flooding, enabling quick response to prevent damage.

6.4. Historical Records

You can check rainfall records at any time through the app, providing a history of rain alarms and normal status.

7.1. Battery Life and Low Power Alarm

The sensor is designed for ultra-low power consumption:

• WiFi version: Approximately 1 year of battery life.
• Zigbee version: Approximately 3 years of battery life.

7.2. Waterproofing Considerations

Please note that the waterproof level of this device is low. To prevent water ingress in areas with high rainfall:

• For outdoor installation or areas prone to heavy rain, it is recommended to apply additional waterproof sealing.
• Ensure the back cover is securely sealed after battery installation.

The sensor has a low waterproof rating; consider additional sealing for outdoor use.

If you experience connectivity issues or need to re-pair the device:

• Locate the reset button on the device (often a small pinhole).
• Use the provided card removal pin or a similar thin object to long-press the reset button for 8 seconds.
• The LED light will blink rapidly, indicating the device has been reset and is ready for re-pairing.

• Redno testiranje: Periodically test the sensor's functionality by gently applying a few drops of water to its detection surface to ensure it triggers alerts and automations correctly.
