RedTop batteries are designed for normal engine starting where an alternator monitors the state of charge. YellowTop batteries are dual-purpose, offering deep-cycle capabilities for vehicles with heavy electrical loads or accessories. BlueTop batteries are designed for marine and RV applications; the dark gray case is for starting only, while the light gray case is for dual-purpose deep cycling.
Uporabite zvtage-regulated charger with AGM compatibility limits. For regular charging, 13.8 to 15.0 volts at 10 amps is recommended. For float charging, use 13.2 to 13.8 volts at 1 amp maximum. Do not use Gel battery settings.
If the battery drops below 10.5 volts, some standard chargers may not recognize it. You can connect a second fully charged battery in parallel to the discharged one to trick the charger into starting, or use an OPTIMA specific charger designed to recover deeply discharged batteries.
