1. Razpakiranje in sestavljanje

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts are present before beginning assembly.

1. Unfold the lower handlebar section and secure it in place.
2. Attach the upper handlebar section to the lower section using the provided bolts and knobs. Ensure the cables are not pinched.
3. Adjust the handlebar height to one of the 3 available positions for comfortable operation.

Mulching Plug / Rear Deflector Installation

Depending on your desired mowing method:

• For Mulching: Insert the mulching plug into the rear discharge opening.
• For Rear Discharge (without bag): Ensure the mulching plug is removed and the rear deflector is in place.
• For Collection: Remove the mulching plug and attach the grass bag.

Your lawnmower is shipped without fuel or oil. It is crucial to add both before the first start.

Dodajanje motornega olja

1. Place the lawnmower on a level surface.

3. Carefully add the recommended engine oil (refer to the engine manual for specific type and quantity, typically SAE 30 or 10W-30 for small engines) until the oil level reaches the "FULL" mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.

Dodajanje goriva

1. Ensure the engine is cool and the lawnmower is on a level surface.
2. Use fresh, clean unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Do not use E85 fuel.
3. Carefully pour fuel into the fuel tank, avoiding spills. Do not fill the tank completely; leave some space for expansion.

Warning: Never refuel a hot or running engine. Always ensure adequate ventilation when handling fuel.

2. Nastavitev višine košnje

The MTD Smart 46 SPO features a centralized cutting height adjustment with 7 positions, from 25 mm to 75 mm.

1. Ensure the engine is off and the blade has stopped.
2. Locate the height adjustment lever, typically near one of the wheels.
3. Pull the lever outwards and move it to the desired height setting. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height.
4. Release the lever to lock it in position.

3. Starting the Engine (Manual Starter)

2. Push the primer bulb (if present) 3-5 times until fuel is visible in the bulb. (Consult engine manual for exact priming procedure).
3. Move the throttle lever (if present) to the "FAST" or "START" position.
4. Grasp the starter rope handle firmly.
5. Pull the starter rope with a smooth, continuous motion until the engine starts. Do not let the rope snap back; guide it gently.
6. Once the engine starts, release the starter rope and allow the engine to warm up for a few moments.

Caution: Keep hands and feet clear of the cutting deck when starting the engine.

The MTD Smart 46 SPO offers 3-in-1 functionality: collection, mulching, and rear discharge.

Zbirka trave

Attach the 60-liter grass bag. This method collects clippings for disposal or composting, leaving a clean lawn.

Mulčenje

Insert the mulching plug. Mulching finely chops grass clippings and returns them to the lawn as natural fertilizer. This is ideal for frequent mowing of shorter grass.

Zadnji izpust

Remove the grass bag and mulching plug, ensuring the rear deflector is in place. This method discharges clippings directly onto the lawn from the rear, suitable for taller grass where collection or mulching is not desired.

For best results, mow when the grass is dry. Avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass blade length at a time. Overlap cutting swaths slightly to ensure an even cut.

5. Ustavitev motorja

1. Release the operator presence control bar (if equipped).
2. Move the throttle lever to the "STOP" or "OFF" position.
3. Wait for the blade to come to a complete stop before approaching the mower.

Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of operation, then every 25-50 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Refer to the engine manual for detailed instructions.

Vžigalna svečka

Inspect and clean the spark plug annually or every 50 hours. Replace if electrodes are worn or pitted. Ensure correct gap setting.

Zračni filter

Clean or replace the air filter regularly, especially in dusty conditions. A clogged air filter can reduce engine performance and increase fuel consumption.

4. Shranjevanje

For seasonal storage, prepare your lawnmower as follows:

• Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel degradation. Run the engine until it stops to consume all fuel in the carburetor.
• Zamenjajte motorno olje.
• Remove the spark plug and pour a small amount of engine oil into the cylinder. Pull the starter rope a few times to distribute the oil, then reinstall the spark plug.
• Store the mower in a clean, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from heat sources and open flames.
• The ergonomic handlebar can be folded for more compact storage.
