1. Uvod

The Neve 1073DPX is a dual-channel microphone preamplifier and equalizer, designed and built to the exact specifications of the original Neve 1073 Class A module. This unit provides two independent channels, each featuring a microphone preamplifier, 3-band equalizer, and high-pass filter. It is engineered to deliver the authentic Neve sound, adding warmth, depth, and clarity to audio recordings. The 1073DPX integrates modern functionalities such as DI inputs, phantom power, selectable insert points, level meters, and headphone monitoring, making it a versatile tool for professional audio environments. This 19-inch rack-mount 2U unit operates with an external multi-voltage power supply unit (PSU).

2. Nastavitev

2.1 Razpakiranje in pregled

Carefully remove the 1073DPX unit from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of physical damage that may have occurred during transit. Ensure all components, including the external multi-voltage PSU and power cable, are present.

2.2 Montaža v stojalo

The 1073DPX is a standard 19-inch 2U rack-mount unit. Secure the unit into an equipment rack using appropriate rack screws. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating.

2.3 Napajalni priključek

1. Connect the external multi-voltage PSU to the 1073DPX unit using the provided cable.
2. Connect the PSU to a suitable AC power outlet. The unit is designed to operate with various international voltages.
3. Ensure the power switch on the front panel is in the 'OFF' position before connecting to AC power.

• Microphone Inputs (MIC IP): Use balanced XLR cables to connect microphones.
• Line Inputs (LINE IP): Use balanced XLR cables for line-level signals.
• Line Outputs (LINE OP): Use balanced XLR cables to connect to your audio interface, mixer, or other recording equipment.
• Insert Send/Return: These 1/4-inch TRS jacks allow for the integration of external processing equipment into the signal path.

The front panel also features convenient input options:

• DI Input (CH IP): A 1/4-inch jack for direct connection of instruments such as guitars or basses.
• Microphone Input (MIC): An additional XLR input for quick access.

3.1 Vklop/izklop

Press the 'POWER' button located on the front panel to turn the unit on or off. A corresponding indicator light will illuminate when the unit is powered on.

3.2 Input Selection and Gain Control

3.5 Insert Feature

The 'INSERT' switch on each channel activates the external insert points on the rear panel. This allows you to route the signal through external processors (e.g., compressors, effects units) before it reaches the main output.
